Bright enough to navigate your way through the woods and find what you're looking for. Rechargeable is a plus so you don't have to replace the batteries. Doesn't turn on accidentally when bumped like some other torches. Well made with solid metal. And very easy to carry.

I'll admit I'm a gadget person, and I gravitate towards what I think are "cool" things. This caught my eye because I also love flashlights (can't explain why but I have a LOT) but it also will light candles and presumable help start campfires, and it has an upset/motion alarm to boot! In the picture you can see the size of the unit compared to a $2 bill, so it's small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket or purse. The flashlight is bright and has two settings plus a strobe mode.The system will only let me load one video per review, so I didn't add one where it lit a candle, but it does light candles!

Are flashlights good for self-defense?
Even if you don't carry a firearm, you can use a small flashlight to defend yourself from a would-be assailant. Whenever you encounter a threat, shine the light on his face, and dominate his eyes. The bright light will cause momentary blindness and disorientation, giving you enough time to flee or engage your attacker. If the attacker gets close to you, you can use the electric lighter end to defend yourself and win some time to escape.
Will an arc lighter shock you?
Touching the electric arcs will feel like a sharp bite or the shock you get from static electricity, but about 10 times stronger. It will definitely wake you up! We do not recommend touching the arcs. However, if you do, there is no permanent damage other than a few small red marks on your skin.
Can an electric lighter light a cigarette?
Yes. The electric lighter is easy to use, lights up quickly and lights cigarettes or incense in all weather conditions. Surprisingly, the electric arc lighter has no flame. A rechargeable lighter—also called a USB lighter, electric lighter, plasma lighter, or an arc lighter—uses electricity to produce a small arc of ionized air (also called a plasma) that's capable of igniting candles in the same way a flame would. The plasma is actually much hotter than a standard lighter flame.

Does the flashlight have a flash/strobe function?
Yes, the flashlight has a strobe mode. You can activate the strobe by double-clicking the flashlight switch button while the light is on. Alternatively, you can activate the sound-light alarm mode by pressing the flashlight switch button for 2.5 seconds, which includes a buzzer and strobe to attract attention and signal for help.
How long does the battery last on the flashlight?
The battery provides up to 2 hours of high brightness mode and 15 hours of low brightness mode.

The flashlight measures 0.87 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches in length.
What type of charging cable does the flashlight use?
The flashlight uses a USB-A to USB-C cable, which is provided with the flashlight.
Is the power switch and mode switch the same switch? If so, do you have to cycle through different modes every time you turn it on or off?
Yes, the power switch and mode switch are the same switch. However, you can turn the flashlight on or off by pressing the switch button for 0.5 seconds. The flashlight also has a memory function, so it will start in the mode it was turned off last time. When the light is on, you can click the switch button to switch between high brightness mode and low brightness mode.
