FAQ
Are flashlights good for self-defense?
Even if you don't carry a firearm, you can use a small flashlight to defend yourself from a would-be assailant. Whenever you encounter a threat, shine the light on his face, and dominate his eyes. The bright light will cause momentary blindness and disorientation, giving you enough time to flee or engage your attacker. If the attacker gets close to you, you can use the electric lighter end to defend yourself and win some time to escape.
Will an arc lighter shock you?
Touching the electric arcs will feel like a sharp bite or the shock you get from static electricity, but about 10 times stronger. It will definitely wake you up! We do not recommend touching the arcs. However, if you do, there is no permanent damage other than a few small red marks on your skin.
Can an electric lighter light a cigarette?
Yes. The electric lighter is easy to use, lights up quickly and lights cigarettes or incense in all weather conditions. Surprisingly, the electric arc lighter has no flame. As its name suggests, this lighter has an electric arc. Some models even have a double arc, like the Self-Defense Mini Flashlight with Electric Lighter.
Are electric candle lighters worth it?
They are safer, more environmentally friendly, more cost-effective in the long run, produce less waste, and are all around a better choice than traditional flame-producing lighters.
Can you light a candle with a plasma lighter?
Sure. A rechargeable lighter—also called a USB lighter, electric lighter, plasma lighter, or an arc lighter—uses electricity to produce a small arc of ionized air (also called a plasma) that's capable of igniting candles in the same way a flame would. The plasma is actually much hotter than a standard lighter flame.
How long do rechargeable lighters last?
A single hour-long charge can get you more than 100 lights.
